The library “SILVIA BENEDETTI de Cousandier” Quasar Design University opens its doors to the public.
A little over a year after the death of its founder, together with Arch. Benedetto Todaro, Q.D.U. It makes available to the general public with a collection of over 3,000 books and different vintages of magazines and periodicals. The Library houses the main encyclopedic treatises and works regarding art, theory and science of the project, as well as works of general interest, culture and contemporary expression phenomenology. Topics range from Aesthetics, Art, from Architecture to Design the Art of gardens, Landscaping and territory, Interior design and furniture, graphics and visual communication.
This open space, dedicated to the deepening of the various issues related to the design, aims to offer an opportunity for growth and profit sharing to the entire community of Quasar, besides wanting to contribute to the growth of the person, on right the study and continuing education through a range of services to facilitate the students interest in reading, the acquisition of an ability to orient in the documentation and in the use of bibliographic and multimedia tools in the areas of interest of the Institute same.
The library promotes cooperation agreements with the libraries participating in SBN / RMR and realizes integrated IT services; It promotes the development of bibliographic information and the circulation of documents; It promotes the training of users to the use of bibliographic and multimedia cataloging tools.
OPENING AND CONSULTATION SERVICES
The library “SILVIA BENEDETTI de Cousandier” is open on the following days:
- Tuesday and Thursday – h 14: 00-20: 00
- Saturday – h 10: 00-14: 00
Institutional users of the Library are the teachers, students, assistants, interns, fellows of the Quasar. They are still allowed in the Library third parties who are at least eighteen years of age, provided that they possess a personal identification document legally recognized.
You can search for books in the catalog available on-site (and soon also online) or through the website IEI – Cultural Institutes of Rome.
Access to the Library is allowed for study, cultural training and research, and you can take advantage of the free consultation services only during opening hours.
